2023-2024 Off Season Coaching
I believe the off-season is the time to work on new things. You want to develop those new things in a safe environment so that next season you are confident and capable to use it in a match.
Off-season is also a time to work on core changes, especially to unsafe bowling actions. These can take quite a while as we often have to strip things down to the very basics.
You can also practice and build on your current strengths.
I think it is important you take a break from cricket. If you’ve been playing every week since May take a break. At least a month. Possibly until January 2023. Younger players may have finished playing competitive matches earlier in the season. You may already be rested enough to re-start training.
Decide what you want to work on. Some things take longer than others so you are ready for the pre-season phase.
